Are They Legal?

A July 22, 2009 test by the FDA found that 1/20 of the test samplings contained 1/60 of the carcinogens of regular tobacco cigarettes. While the story made national news, the truth is that the FDA tested a very small sampling from only two manufacturers - both of whom are already engaged in a lawsuit with the FDA over issues unrelated to the content of e-cigarettes.

The FDA tests thousands of products every year and bans those who they feel are a public risk. It is important to note that there is no "ban" on e-cigarettes. It was an oversensationalized news bite highly distributed by "Big Tobacco"

Contrary to what the major cigarette manufacturers wanted, the story has actually created a swell in support of these products as it showed that e-cigarettes contain a fraction of the harmful effects of standard cigarettes. Hardly the backlash that Big Tobacco had obviously hoped for.

E-Cigarettes are LEGAL in all 50 states and are sold in stores and kiosks all over the country.
